Largest Senior Gift Made in 9 Years!

At the Senior Dinner on May 11, the Classes of 2006 presented a $6,448.74 check to President Mark D. Gearan. The check, the largest senior gift since 1998, represented gifts from 38% of the combined Classes of 2006.

After running a successful campaign, Senior Gift co-chairs Pete Hammond and Cait Allen would like to thank the hardworking senior gift committee as well as all of the seniors who stepped forward to make this monumental gift possible.

“These classes definitely understand the importance of giving back and know well the impact that each dollar makes on this institution,” said Senior Gift Advisor Jack Cooney ’04, expressing his admiration and noting that no senior gift in the past five years has reached $5000.

Though the check has been handed off, it's not too late for seniors to make a gift and receive a commemorative HWS 2006 Pint Glass. Gifts can be made online by visiting www.hws.edu/seniorgift.
