Leanne Roncolato ’07 is spending the summer at the International Labor Organization's (ILO) offices in Geneva, Switzerland, delving into issues of rural work and development. The ILO is a specialized agency of the United Nations focused on labor issues, strengthening worker rights and working conditions in the international community. She received assistance from a 2006 Salisbury International Internship stipend.

Roncolato, of Meadville, Pa., has been active in the HWS campus and Geneva communities, serving as co-chair of the Women’s Collective, as community service coordinator for the Latin American Organization and in various other community service roles. One of the cross country team’s top runners, she also studied in South Africa during the spring 2005 semester.
The Salisbury International Internship award provides a stipend for the internship, lodging, airfare, passport/visa expenses, meals, ground travel, traveler’s insurance, and/or other expenses related to an international internship opportunity.
