In less than four weeks, Hobart and William Smith will celebrate the campus launch of Campaign for the Colleges. The Nov. 4 ceremony, hosted by President Mark D. Gearan and Board Chair David H. Deming ’75, will bring together several honored members of the Colleges community to commemorate the beginning of this historic initiative.
The evening will include a dinner reception for invited guests followed by a short program and the campus premiere of the campaign film. Guests will then be invited to dessert and dancing to live music.
Campaign for the Colleges seeks to generate funds in support of the strategic plan HWS 2010. This is the largest capital campaign in the history of the Colleges, aiming to raise $160 million. Deming proudly announced that the Colleges are more than halfway toward meeting its goal, with $90 million already raised or pledged.
“We are focused and resolved to reach new heights,” Deming said.
