7th Annual Ghosts in Togas lecture

The Classics Department and the HWS Chapter of Eta Sigma Phi, the National Classics Honor Society, present the 7th annual “Ghosts in Togas” Halloween talk at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 in the library's Sanford Room.

Deborah K.W. Modrak, a professor in philosophy at the University of Rochester, will discuss the transmigration of the soul in Empedocles and Plato. She has studied Aristotle, the History of Philosophy and the History of the Mind, and has published several articles on ancient philosophy and two books, “Aristotle: The Power of Perception,” and “Aristotle's Theory of Language and Meaning.”
