King, Lockhart to headline next President’s Radio Show tonight

Tonight’s President’s Radio Show will discuss “The New Congress: What’s Next?” at 5 p.m. from the Sanford Room. The program will air at 7:30 p.m. on WEOS-FM.

The featured guests will be CNN National Correspondent John King LHD '06 and former White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart. President Mark D. Gearan will host a panel discussion with these expert commentators and student panelists from the College Republicans, College Democrats, Progressive Student Union and the Current Affairs House.

After the show, participants are invited to stay for dessert and discussion beginning at 6 p.m. in the Sanford Room.

King is CNN’s Chief National Correspondent, responsible for reporting on a range of stories in the United States and around the world. Covering the last four presidential elections, the events leading up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the war on terrorism, King has been widely recognized for excellence in journalism.

Lockhart was the White House Press Secretary from Oct. 1998 until Sept. 2000. He has advised numerous political campaigns including most recently, John Kerry in 2004. Lockhart is currently President of the Glover Park Group.
