Going Center Stage in Philly

With the backdrop of the impressive 44-foot stage at the Wilma Theater, alums, parents and friends will celebrate the Philadelphia Launch Celebration of Campaign for the Colleges on Monday, March 12. Peggy Bokan Greenawalt ’66, who serves as chair of the board at the Wilma Theater, will host the event in the stunning, state-of-the-art facility. She will open the program sharing the transforming experience she had as a William Smith student.

In addition to Greenawalt, attendees will hear reflections from Emily W. Earll ’08, student trustee; Diane-Louise Wormley ’70, deputy director of Neighborhoods Now; and Stuart S. Piltch’82, managing director of the Cambridge Advisory Group. Ellen Arnold Groff ’67, P’93 will convey celebration plans that are underway in honor of the William Smith Centennial.

The $160 million campaign that kicked off in September now exceeds $103 million in gifts and pledges. To find out more about the largest capital campaign in the history of Hobart and William Smith, visit Campaign for the Colleges.
