An article co-written by Thang Nguyen, a member of the Hobart Class of 1998, with Frank-Jürgen Richter was published in the Feb. 4 The Straits Times (Singapore). Titled “The Koreas – in hope we trust,” the article discussed the efforts of various people to unify North and South Korea.
Thang is the regional manager for Asia at the World Economic Forum, and was a member of the World Economic Forum's program team that developed and launched the East Asia Economic Summit 2002 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 6 to 8. Thang holds a B.A. (with honors) in American studies from Hobart College, and a M.A. in international relations and economics from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
