Sedaris performs on behalf of WEOS

Faculty, staff and students from the Colleges joined the standing-room-only crowd that turned out to hear humorist David Sedaris in Ithaca this past weekend. Sedaris, who made the appearance as part of a fundraiser for radio station WEOS, is a best-selling author and a contributor to National Public Radio. In 2001, Time Magazine named him “Humorist of the Year.

William Smith student Danielle DeVito '09 (pictured) took the stage and introduced Sedaris to the crowd of 1,400 people at Ithaca's State Theater. Devito, who hosts a radio show on WEOS, was one of a number of students involved in the event, including Erin Giantomasi ’07, Emily Sheehan ’09, Genoa Boswell ’09 and Jamie Agnello ’07.
