“Sand and Bone,” choreographed, directed and staged by Seónagh Odhiambo, this year's Fisher Center pre-doctoral fellow, will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Winn-Seeley Dance Theater.
Odhiambo defines dance as a point of contact through which ideas, inspiration, movement, and meaning can travel. Her dances address how barriers of difference may generate a sense of unfamiliarity and discomfort, weighting the body with histories of burdensome oppressions.
