An article co-written by Thang Nguyen, a member of the Hobart Class of 1998, with Frank-Jürgen Richter and Pamela Mar was published in the Feb. 12 Hong Kong South China Morning Post. Titled “Can Asia become a global 'third force'?” the article asks and answers the question “A world inching towards war and the lack of signs of a global economic recovery have created a search for hope. Could this come from Asia?”
Thang is regional manager for Asia at the World Economic Forum, which held its Annual Meeting 2003 from Jan. 23 to Jan. 28 in Davos, Switzerland. In addition to being responsible for several delegations from Southeast Asia, Thang was in charge of the Business Interaction Groups (BIGs) and coordinated the program of the New Asian Leaders Network during this event.
