More than a dozen middle school students from Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ Kids College were among those saying “Good Morning America between 7 and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18.
They were in the ABC studios in Manhattan as part of a field trip that began the day before when they board a bus to the Albany area for a tour of the New York State Museum and Capital and spent the night before on the campus of Albany College of Pharmacy.
After the program was broadcast, the group took a tour of the ABC studios and then had lunch at Rockefeller Center before boarding a bus for the return trip to Geneva. This week’s Kids College program is centered around the theme of History Week.
Gary Montanus, a 1973 graduate of Hobart College who works at ABC; Lorrie Collins, who works at the state Capital and whose mother, Lillian Collins, works in Alumni House; and Ruth Teague '77, P'02, P'04, P'07, Associate Director of Admissions, helped make the arrangements for the trip.
“Good Morning America may be seen on Channel 9 (WIXT) from Syracuse and Channel 13 (WHAM) from Rochester; students, faculty and staff are invited to watch.
