Russian Students Compete in Olympiada

On Saturday, April 12, William Smith students Susan Jordan, Katie Corradini, Donna Richardson, and Sarah Kaplan competed in the second Annual Upstate New York Russian Olympiada for first-year language students, hosted by HWS. They joined students from Binghamton U., Syracuse U., and Union College in a three-part competition designed to test their ability to speak and read Russian. The HWS team won the poem recitation section of the competition, with Katie Corradini receiving the only perfect score of 5 given. Next year’s event will be hosted by Syracuse University, and HWS will field a new team for that competition.
