Thang Nguyen, a member of the Hobart Class of 1998, recently had two articles published in the Jakarta Post. The first, titled “Plagiarism: Desecration of Global Intellectual Rights,” ran May 21. In the editorial he asserted, “It is time for our global leaders and each one of us all to revisit some basic lessons on trust.” The second article was published June 1, and was titled “Left out in the cold as protesters come to town”. In it he addressed the recent G-8 Summit in Evian, France, and the flight of town residents from possible demonstrators. Thang is a political analyst and a graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
