William Smith Dean Debra DeMeis was quoted in the July 25 Democrat and Chronicle article “This is my dorm? Cool”. The story featured new dorm rooms at various colleges, and how the trend for residences is becoming more like apartment space than dormitory-style rooms.

“While it may be far down the list of reasons why a student chooses a college, it ranks pretty highly among reasons why a student chooses to stay or go,” said DeMeis.
