Temple Beth-El will celebrate the joyous holiday of Purim at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 25. There will be an evening service featuring the reading of the Book of Esther. This tells the story of a Jewish maiden's ascent to the Persian throne, and how she saved her people from persecution by the wicked viceroy, Haman. Join in to boo and drown out Haman's name. Costumes are welcome. Refreshments will be served following the service.
Also in celebration of the Purim holiday, Temple Beth-El's Annual Purim Carnival will be held from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Sunday, March 3. Especially for children under 12, there will be fun, food and games for all. Costumes are welcome.
