Temple Beth-El of Geneva will celebrate a “Shabbat Open House” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 9. The Jewish community across the Finger Lakes is invited to welcome the Sabbath with a beginner's service, led by Cantor Richard Rosenfield. Brunch will follow.
Participants will be able to learn about Jewish traditions and meet
other members of their community in a comfortable and relaxed
setting. The abbreviated service will include brief explanations of
traditions. It will be followed by a brunch and a chance for
questions and answers. The open house is open to all Jews and
interfaith families, regardless of whether they are affiliated with a
synagogue. Shabbat Open House is designed to reach out to practicing
and non-practicing Jews alike, so they may join together to experience a traditional Shabbat service.
For information, please call Cantor Rosenfield at Temple Beth-El,

Lake (Route 14) at 755 South Main Street, Geneva.
