Judith Wellman to Lecture on First Women’s Rights Convention

Who was Elizabeth Cady Stanton? Who were the other participants in the Women's Rights Convention? Why Seneca Falls? In the lecture “The Mystery of the First Women's Rights Convention: Who Came and Why?” historian Judith Wellman will explore these questions and the cultural and material world of the men and women who organized and attended the Seneca Falls convention. She is the historian and director of Historical New York Research Network and will speak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in the Hucker Gallery of the Geneva Historical Society. The lecture is free and refreshments will be served following the talk.
