The Friends of the Seneca Museum will host a Spring Open House to launch the 2002 spring and summer season. The event will be held from 1 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the Seneca Museum.
The event is free and open to the public. This will be an opportunity for visitors to meet the staff, explore exhibits, sing a few canal songs, and discover the many ways members of the community can become involved in the museum as volunteers. Seneca Museum's Education Coordinator and Curator, Kevin Moss, will present a program of period music and folklore from New York’s canal era. This will be followed by museum tours and staff-guided interpretation of exhibits, a discussion of volunteer opportunities, and reception with refreshments. Parking is available on Fall Street or by the Canal at Cowing street. From the canal side entrance, walk to the rear of the ground floor and use the elevator on the right, or take stairs up to the third floor.
