The Hangar Theatre presents a vivid, energetic Cyrano de Bergerac. Swordfighting, romance, and razor-sharp wit dominate this production, and make for a breath-taking theatre experience.
Directed by Randolph Curtis Rand, the Hangar’s Cyrano de Bergerac is based on the 1985 translation by Anthony Burgess. Burgess is perhaps best known as the author of the controversial novel A Clockwork Orange. A great lover of language, Burgess labored over many years to produce a Cyrano with all the wit and snap of the original.
Cyrano de Bergerac will be shown July 24 through August 3. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays, 3 and 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 3 and 7:30 p.m. on Sundays.
The Tuesday, July 27, show will be American Sign Language interpreted.
