The Geneva Historical Society's annual dinner and meeting will be held on Monday, June 3, at Club 86 on Avenue E. The speaker will be Daniel Reiff, professor of art history at SUNY at Fredonia. He will give an illustrated talk titled “Architectural Pattern Books and Catalogs, 1840-1950,” on the wide variety of books published in that time period to aid owners and builders in constructing their homes. Reiff will explore the impact of the drawings and plans found in such books on domestic building. The evening will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 7 p.m. Tickets are from $19 to $24, depending in meal choice.
