Seneca Community Players Holds Auditions For November Comedy

On Sunday and Monday, August 25 and 26, Seneca Community Players will hold open auditions for its production of Murder At The Howard Johnson's by Ron Clark and Sam Boberick. Auditions will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at SCP headquarters, located on Cowing Street, Canalside in Seneca Falls (behind Bailey's).

All is fair in love…even murder? That's the question posed by this light and funny suspense-comedy about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn. Mitchell, an obvious and commonplace dentist who sees himself as the dashing heroic type and Arlene, a middle-aged “Femme Fatale” of sorts, plan to murder her husband Paul, a blundering used-car salesman. Having discovered that Mitchell has been unfaithful, Arlene allies herself with Paul to do away with Mitchell. Then, the two men, feeling foolish and betrayed themselves, join forces against Arlene.

Parts for two men and a women, all in their mid-30s, are available. In addition to reading, all participants should bring a calendar of potential rehearsal date conflicts.

The production will be held on November 8, 9 and 10 at the Delavan Theater at the New York Chiropractic College on Route 89 in Seneca Falls.
