Internationally acclaimed author and expert on human development Joseph Chilton Pearce will discuss transcendence as “the ability to rise and go beyond limitation.” His work outlines how the potential for transcending limitations is built into us biologically but often not developed. He speaks to the connection of heart, head, and hand, and how this opens new pathways to emotional, intellectual and spiritual development. Participants will explore alternatives in childbirth, parenting and education that nurture the development of these pathways in children today.
Pearce is the author of many books including “The Crack in the Cosmic Egg,” “Magical Child,” “Evolution’s End,” and most recently, “The Biology of Transcendence”. He has written and lectured internationally for more than 30 years on the needs of children.
This event is sponsored by Roots & Wings (a Waldorf Initiative), an education program of Seeking Common Ground. Surplus proceeds will benefit Roots & Wings.
