Seneca Community Players needs singer/songwriters to perform their own music on stage in an original production conceived and directed by Pam Rapoza.
Seneca Community Players will hold open auditions for its multi-media musical production of Rhapsodies at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, in the second floor dance studio of the Smith Opera House in Geneva. Interested performers should come with two-three pieces of original acoustic music to perform. They should also be prepared to talk about the creative process and the meanings or histories of their songs. A piano will be available; otherwise performers should bring their own instruments.
The production will transform the stage into a coffee house setting complete with couches and cocktail tables, inviting patrons to become are part of the production on January 17 and 18 at the Smith Opera House. An electronic multi-media presentation created by Rapoza and artist Brian Rice will compliment the live performances.
