Seneca Community Players to hold more Auditions for Holiday Show

On Sunday, Oct. 27, Seneca Community Players will hold a second round of open auditions for its production of Merry Christmas, George Bailey, a radio play adapted from the Lux Radio Theatre broadcast of 1947. Auditions will be held at 2 p.m. at SCP headquarters, located on Cowing Street, Canalside in Seneca Falls (behind Bailey's).

Parts are still available for six to 10 men. In addition to reading, all participants should bring a calendar of potential rehearsal date conflicts.

Based on the classic Frank Capra holiday film It's A Wonderful Life starring James Stewart and Donna Reed, this show will be presented on stage as a 1940s radio broadcast complete with live sound effects of the period. The production will be held at 8 p.m. on Dec. 5, 6 and 7 at the Visitor's Center in Seneca Falls, and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Smith Opera House.
