Arts Council Seeks Volunteers

The Wayne County Council for the Arts, at 108 West Miller St., Newark. The Arts Council is in need of help in several areas. Gallery greeters are important to welcome the people who come to see the shows and buy the items in the gift shop. Sometimes a list needs phoning or stickers need sticking. Other openings include a volunteer coordinator, an art train coordinator, a class coordinator and a bookkeeper. Much of the work involved in these positions can be done at home. The Art Train could also use someone with a level eye who will travel around the county three times each year to move artwork. Those who have an interest in these positions, or artistic or teaching expertise in writing, photography, music, visual or performing art, call Jackie Grey at 331-4593.
