Frank Capra's holiday classic, “It's a Wonderful Life,” comes to the stage as an old fashioned radio broadcast with live sound effects this Christmas when Seneca Community Players presents “Merry Christmas, George Bailey”.
The cast includes Ted Bradford (George Bailey), Kathy Hadley (Mary Hatch), Larry Gazley (Mr. Potter), Peter Saracino (Clarence), Pat Fegley (Joseph), Paul Wenderlich (Mr. Gower), Tony Saracino (Young George and Tommy), Walter Wolf (George's father, Uncle Billy and bridgekeeper), Dewey Fleszar (Harry Bailey), Joanne Saracino (Violet), Karl Nies (announcer/narrator, Ernie Bishop and Binky), Jeff Harvey (Burt), Debbie Roper (George's mother), Pam Bryan (Mrs. Hatch), Richard Austin (Sam Wainright and Nick), Paul Wenderlich (Mr. Martini), Stephen Brown, Deborah McGhan, Caleb Weaver, Erin Winston, Bridget Saracino, Jacob Saracino, Leah O'Connor.
The show is directed by James MacNeal. The show will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, 6, and 7, at the Seneca Falls Visitor Center on Fall Street in Seneca Falls and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Smith Opera House, 82 Seneca Street in Geneva. A special command performance for Karolyn Grimes, the original Zuzu in the 1946 film, will be mounted at noon on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Bailey's Ice Cream Shop in Seneca Falls.
Tickets are $6 each and are available at WomenMade products and Bailey's Ice Cream Shop in Seneca Falls and at Area Records and Music in Geneva. Tickets to the performance at the Smith Opera House will also be available at the Smith box office.
