South Bristol Cultural Center Winter 2003 Schedule

The South Bristol Cultural Center offers several ways to cure cabin fever: painting workshops, yoga instruction, drawing classes, music concerts, the second annual talent contest, and more. Call the SBCC for registration or further information at 396-5950. Located at 5323 Seneca Point Road, just north of Bristol Harbour.

Warm Yoga with Jodi Simons
Learn to stretch, relax, move and breath in harmony with mind and body. Beginning January 8, six Wednesdays from 9 until 10 a.m. Fee $60.

Basic Drawing
Learn basic concepts with Jane Alden. Beginning January 8, six Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until noon. Fee $100.

Figure Drawing
Learn to draw the human body by studying live models. Instructed by Jane Alden. Beginning January 9, six Thursdays from 6:30 until 9 p.m. Fee $100.

Watercolor Workshop with Carole Battle
Battle is a nationally known and celebrated artist and a beloved local instructor. Beginners welcome. January 19, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Fee $480.

Jan Mettee's Watercolor Workshop Experience
For more experienced painters, Mettee shares her talent and techniques. February 8, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Fee $80.

Al Power, Music in the Barn Concert
From his third album; original and traditional songs – some touching on the themes of aging, elder care, and life's journey. February 15, 8 p.m., tickets $8.
