The Geneva Theatre Guild will hold auditions for their Playwrights Playreadings 2003 production, at 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 13 and 14, at the Presbyterian Church, Park Place, Geneva.
Three reading committees have selected five short plays for presentation in the staged readers' theatre format. “The Trophy Wife”; “A Curtain Call to Arms or the Final Bow” and “Condensed Theatre Classics Presents: Lives in the Wind,” are by Matt Casarino of Wilmington, Delaware. “Growing Up” is by Stanley resident Michelle Caward and “Let Me Count the Ways” is written by Genevan Jay Hanagan.
Auditions are open to all interested area residents. There are roles for 17 men and 13 women, ranging in age from teens and up. Copies of the five plays are currently available for reading at the Geneva Free Library on Castle Street. People auditioning are asked to use the Washington Street entrance to the Presbyterian Church.
Performance dates for Playwrights Playreadings 2003 are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, at All Things Art, Canandaigua; at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 , at the Geneva Free Library.
