A Fiber Forum will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Arts Council in Newark at 108 West Miller Street. Fiber art is artwork that uses many fibers – linear, pliable elements – and can include forms such as wall hangings, rugs, clothing and samplers. Fiber arts is experiencing a resurgence in interest possibly due to the material itself as a response to the modern technological world.
An initial forum of needle workers with needles of all types who want to learn and share will come together to join the Saturday Stitchers – knitters, tatters, quilters and the rest are welcomed to attend Saturday Stitchers at Wayne Arts. Bring a current project. For additional information, call 315/331-4593.
