Creative Writing Class at Wayne Arts

Creative Writing for the Faint (and not so faint) of Heart will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, May 27 through June 26. Writers are welcome to come and hone their skills, and would-be writers are also welcome. Instructor Charles Burm has conducted workshops, seminars and classes in composition, communication skills, contemporary and traditional fiction and poetry, ethnic literature, and creative writing at the City University of New York, New York University and Monroe Community College. This multi-level workshop will incorporate writing strategies, exercises, reading, and topics that will address facets of the writing craft. The cost for the class is $40.

Writers may also submit their writing for the Wayne Arts collection of creative writing. Submissions now being accepted call for more information. The Arts Council is located in Newark at 108 West Miller Street. For additional information, call (315) 331-4593.
