Salisbury in Baltimore Daily Record

Chair of the Board of Trustees Charles Salisbury Jr. received a citation at his 40th college reunion. His citation was announced in the Aug. 29 Baltimore Daily Record. Salisbury is a member of the Hobart College Class of 1963. A staunch supporter of Hobart and William Smith, he has served as a member of the Colleges' Board of Trustees since 1991, and as chair since 1998. Salisbury, is the president and director of Salisbury Broadcasting Corp., based in Baltimore, Md.

During his time as a student, Salisbury was a member of the varsity lacrosse team, vice president of the Board of Control and vice president of his freshman class. As a member of Advanced ROTC, he served as commander of the Arnold Air Society, and was also named to the Dean’s list. At his graduation, he received the Walter Durfee Award and the President’s ROTC Trophy. In 1973 Salisbury received his M.B.A. with honors from Loyola College.
