The South Bristol Cultural Center is honored to host “Ginger Kids in a Global Mix” cooking day camp, July 21-25. Patricia Green, founder of Ginger Kids, will teaching the class. The Ginger Kids program was developed as a means to teach children about global relations and promotes cultural sensitivity introducing kids to foreign lands and cultures through the art – and fun – of baking and cooking while emphasizing the similarities of children globally. Kids will learn kitchen basics, serving etiquette, and safety skills. The morning session runs from 9 a.m. to noon and is for ages 6 – 8. Kids ages 9 – 14 will meet from 1 – 4 p.m. Tuition for the five days is $90 for members and $100 for non-members. Deadline to register is July 11.
