Alan Frishman, professor of economics, was quoted on the Colleges' change from trimesters to semesters, as Union College in Schenectady contemplates making the move. Frishman said the biggest benefit was the chance to retool classes, in the article Union to set course for its future.
“It made everybody sit and think about it,” he said. “Everyone had to rethink all the requirements of majors, minors and graduation. I don't think anybody's dissatisfied.”
Faculty members at Union College are expected to vote next month in an advisory capacity.
