The Gin Game, the popular Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, will conclude the Bristol Valley Theater’s 2003 summer season, running Aug. 21 through Aug. 31. Written by D.L. Coburn, this touching comedy tells the tale of a developing relationship between two elderly people in a nursing home. Seats are still available for both matinee and evening performances. (This production contains adult language and is not recommended for children.) The Aug. 24 matinee performance will offer sign interpretation.
The cast features two actors from New York City: Kim Horning, who plays Fonsia, and Jim Ganser, who plays Weller. The scenic designer for this production is Mark Kobak (Cleveland, Ohio); the lighting designer is Aaron Meadow (New York, N.Y.); the costume designer is Jennifer Harrison (Rochester, N.Y.) and the sound designer is Richard Miller (Wayland, N.Y.).

Performances of The Gin Game run at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. Sundays. Matinee performances at 2 p.m. will also be presented Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 27 and 28. Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors (and the Aug. 21 preview performance), $12 for college students and $10 for children through high school age. Groups of 15 or more are only $17 per ticket.
