Men looking for a day to stretch, play hand drums, get a massage, and learn about timber framing, natural cordage and Chinese medicine join the Men's Wellness Day from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, at the South Bristol Cultural Center off of Route 21, 5323 Seneca Point Road, Canandaigua.
Members of New Energy Works will be offering a Timber Framing workshop, Errett Brown of Balanced Body will be teaching Yoga, DJ Kitzel and Edgar Brown will be offering Making Cordage/Making Connections, David Weinberg the drumming man will be teaching hand drumming, John Burger will be offering Tai Chi, Matthias Reisen of Healing Spirits Herb Farm in Avoca will be presenting Men's Health. There will be complimentary massages and acupuncture. The timber frame workshop will take place outside all day long.
The event is taking place to bring local healing practitioners to men in this area, to give men a chance to relax and to raise money for the South Bristol Cultural Center.
