The Geneva Historical Society’s Candlelight Dinners are returning this year as a fall fundraiser, at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Geneva Historical Society Museum, 543 South Main St. Admission is $40 for members, $45 for non members. The evening will begin with a reception at the museum, followed by dinner hosted by society members at their homes. This year the dinners will feature International Cuisine. Each of the Society’s hosts and hostesses will provide a different ethnic-inspired meal, including Italian, Yankee, German, Bulgarian, Swedish, Chinese, and Belgian dinners.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a champagne reception at the Geneva Historical Society Museum. The reception will feature award-winning Finger Lakes wines and delicious hors d’oeuvres. Following the reception, a candlelight dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. at the home of one the society's members. Dinner assignments will be displayed at the reception.
This event offers a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends, make new acquaintances, and to enjoy a fine dining experience. The cost for the evening is $40 per person for Society members and $45 for non-members. This event is a major fund-raising activity for the Society and $25 of the ticket price is considered a tax-deductible contribution to the Society. Seating is limited, so make reservations early by calling the Society office at 789-5151.
