Seneca Community Players presents a tap dancing workshop Tuesdays in Oct. from 7 – 8 p.m. in the Smith Opera House’s second floor dance studio.
Starting Oct. 7 and continuing every Tuesday throughout the month, Erin Winston will teach participants basic tap dancing step combinations and will invent original steps as well. Winston is a frequent choreographer and dance consultant for Seneca Community Players. She recently helped design dances and appeared on stage in SCP’s August production of Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.”
Class tuition is free to SCP members and $25 for non-members (fee includes SCP membership). Space is limited to the first 20 participants. No previous tap experience is necessary, though participants should bring their own tap shoes. Preference will be given to those 18 and older, but students in 9th grade or above are welcome to register.
To register, contact Winston by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name, e-mail address and phone number in your response.
The historic Smith Opera House is located at 82 Seneca Street in Geneva.
