The Syracuse Stage welcomes their former artistic director Tazewell Thompson and his play “Constant Star.” Five actresses portray the life of Ida B. Wells, a fearless turn of the 20th century civil rights activist and journalist who organized the first anti-lynching campaign in America. Thompson weaves 20 classic spirituals sung a cappella in five-part harmony into the story of Well's life. “Constant Star” will be performed Oct. 22 through Nov. 16. Tickets are available at the box office, (315) 443-3275.
