This year visitors will enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas celebration at the Geneva Historical Society’s annual Holiday Open House. From 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, the Prouty-Chew House will be open for visitors, members and friends. The house will be all decked out for the holidays, treats will be on the tables and the Geneva High School Jazz Ensemble will perform Christmas music at 2:30 p.m.
This is a wonderful time to view “Images: Geneva,” the newest exhibit, which features photographs from our recent publication of the same name, as well as objects and clothing from the Society collection. See old friends and enjoy the house and period rooms. There will also be fun holiday crafts for parents and children to enjoy together (geared to 5 to 12 years), so bring the whole family.
Admission to the Holiday Open House is free of charge, as are all activities and refreshments. For more information about the program, please call 789-5151.
The Geneva Historical Society Museum is located in the Prouty-Chew House at 543 South Main Street and is open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
