Bristol Harbour Golf Club will host the first annual Clair Elizabeth Elliott Memorial Scholarship Family Event on Father's Day, Sunday, June 20. This family golf event will offer both the “serious golfer” as well as “non-golfers” the opportunity to spend the day with the entire family while raising money for student scholarships.
The day will include golf, picnic, raffles, door prizes, silent art auction featuring local artists, mini-golf, live music and more. Prices range from $8 (young children, picnic only) to $75 (18 holes of golf, cart and picnic).
All monies raised at the tournament will go to the Clair Elizabeth Elliott Memorial Scholarship Fund. Clair Elliott, a 16-year-old senior at Naples Central School, died September 23, 2003, as the result of a car accident. The goal is to provide tuition assistance for students who exhibit interest and talent in areas other than or in addition to strictly academics, such as artistic, culinary, musical or spiritual. These special young adults are often overlooked by traditional scholarship awards and will benefit from the Clair Elliott Scholarship fund.
Hole, sand trap and band sponsorships are available for $100; cart sponsorships are available for $25. Registration and sponsorship forms are available at the Naples Pharmacy and Wilcox Lumber in Naples, as well as at the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce (Main St., Canandaigua). Sponsor, register or get further information by calling Alexandria Webb at (585) 374-9124 or (585) 820-0091. Payment or donations, requested prior to June 13, can be made payable to: The Clair Elliott Memorial Scholarship Fund, 162 South Main Street, Naples, New York 14512.
