The South Bristol Cultural Center announces the next “Music in the Barn” concert featuring the Aldis Blues Band from 8 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 3. Admission is $8, and $5 for seniors and children under 16. Refreshments available and fun entertainment for the whole family.
Aldis Lemesis and his five piece band count Otis Rush, Lonnie Johnson, and Junior Wells among their inspirations. Based out of Rochester, the Aldis Blues Band set a swampy scene with the lyrics to their album's title track: “Mosquito Water.” They have competed in the recent Blues Society of WNY's “Memphis Bound” competition and has been included in the Blues Revue magazine's Blues Revue Blues Music Sampler for December – January 2004 edition.
