The city of Canandaigua will commence the Independence Day celebration with a main street parade. The parade, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, will start at the county court house and continue down Main Street toward Canandaigua Lake.
The festivities on Sunday, July 4, are at Kershaw Park, beginning with a picnic at 5:30 p.m. There will be vendors providing hotdogs, hamburgers, fried dough, popcorn, cotton candy, beverages, and more. Entertainment will include games for kids, clowns, music, and loads of fun for the entire family. Music entertainment, starting at 7:30 p.m., will feature synergy.
Fireworks over Canandaigua Lake will begin at 9:30 p.m., for a 30-minute fireworks display. Music by Synergy will continue for 30 minutes after the fireworks.
Sponsors for the city's independence day celebration are the Farnsworth Auto Group and Thompson Health.
