Habitat Seeks Families and Land

The Ontario County Habitat for Humanity is encouraging families to apply for the program. They also seek land to be donated for future projects.

Donated lots with public water and sewer are preferred but they will work with any approved site. Habitat is a not-for-profit organization and donations may be claimed for tax purposes.

Families who desire to own their own home are encouraged to apply. In order to be considered for a Habitat home, a family must be presently living in inadequate housing as well as meet the income of roughly $20,000- $30,000 for a family of four. The closing date for submitting applications is July 30.

The Ontario County chapter is run completely by volunteers.
