Seneca Community Players Still Accepting Directing Proposals

Seneca Community Players (SCP) is still accepting proposals from individuals interested in directing for the organization. SCP is currently accepting proposals for shows to be put on in the fall and early winter of 2005. Download a proposal form and guidelines in PDF format at www.senecacommunityplayers.org. Click on the “get involved” button. Proposals for the “First Time Director's Program” are also encouraged. Applications are due to PO Box 45, Seneca Falls, NY 13145 by Nov. 1.

In addition to the proposal form and one copy of the proposed script, directors who are new to Seneca Community Players or who have never directed for SCP should provide one copy of their resume listing the productions they have had a title in and references. Items for directors to consider in the application process include proposed staff, budget and venue, approximate production and audition dates, and expected ticket prices. SCP’s board of directors is able and interested in helping directors with these details should assistance be requested. Scripts will be returned.

Seneca Community Players’ mission is to foster, arouse and help broaden the interest, availability and appreciation of the Theatre Arts in Seneca and surrounding counties. Over its 32-year history, SCP has established itself as the only year-round Seneca County group that continually offers and produces quality theatrical productions highlighted by an annual summer musical. These productions provide the opportunity for community members to engage in the creative process on-stage, back stage and the design process.
