Steve Sprinkle, director of the Counseling Center and Anita Canizares, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, have tickets available for a raffle supporting Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes, Inc (http://www.fcsfl.org/). Some at HWS may already be familiar with this local, non-profit, United Way agency because it offers affordable counseling services to faculty and staff through the HWS Employee Assistance Program (http://campus.hws.edu/adm/hr/benefits/EAP.asp). FCSFL also plays a vital role in providing domestic violence, child sexual abuse treatment, family support, and other important services in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. Sprinkle and Canizares serve on FCSFL’s board of directors.
The tickets cost $100, and no more than 100 tickets will be sold. If the price seems a bit steep, consider teaming up with a few colleagues to purchase a ticket. The grand prize will be $3,000, second prize will be $500, two third prizes will be $250 each, and ten fourth prizes will be $100 each. Proceeds will go to support FCSFL programs. The drawing will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Miller’s Essenhaus in Penn Yan, participants need not be present to win. Please contact Steve (email@example.com, ext. 3600) or Anita (firstname.lastname@example.org, ext. 3351) if interested in purchasing a ticket.
