The Finger Lakes HealthQuest Foundation, in cooperation with the Council on Alcoholism and Addictions of the Finger Lakes, has announced a Red Ribbon Walk-A-Thon Against Drugs scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Geneva LakeFront. This is a 5K walk from the Chamber of Commerce, along the lakefront to the Seneca Park, and return.
HealthQuest is asking all community residents to take a pro-active stance against drugs and to make a statement in support of our youth. Monies raised through pledges and donations will be used exclusively for drug-abuse prevention programming in the Finger Lakes.
Alcohol and drug-abuse is the nation's number one public health problem.
Sponsorhip forms are available by calling 789-0310 or by contacting Chevy DeVaney at chdevaney@hws.edu. Those who would like to make a donation, please make checks payable to HealthQuest Foundation and send to the attention of Chevy DeVaney.
