Brandi Arno has joined the faculty of the South Bristol Cultural Center and will be instructing her first four-week class beginning Nov. 1. She will also conduct a one-day workshop on Nov. 13.
Arno has been painting in oil since 1992 and her subjects include landscapes and still life. She had private study with Gunther Korus for two years and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991. Her teaching experience has taken her to five counties in New York State and has professional affiliations with the National Association of Plein Air Painters, the Rochester Art Club, American Academy of Women Artists as well as Oil Painters of America.
Each week during her Monday morning class from 9:30 a.m. to noon a new subject will be painted. Techniques for painting still life, perspective, floral, and falling snow will be taught as well as demonstrated.
Please call the center at (585) 396-5950 to register and obtain a class materials list. The registration deadline is Oct. 25. The Saturday workshop will cover all topics in an intensive session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a bagged lunch and refreshment.
Tuition for the Monday morning class is $100 members ($110 nonmembers) and for the Saturday workshop is $72 members ($80 nonmembers).
