Students Sign Citizenship Pledge

Hobart Student Government and William Smith Congress developed a “Citizen Pledge” for students to sign, in response to the recent articles about student behavior in downtown Geneva and the Pulteney St. neighborhood. The pledge states that students are aware of what is going on and care about the citizens in Geneva, and that a minority of students are projecting the wrong attitudes and behaviors. It is displayed in Scandling Center, signed by many students who pledged they will work toward the vision of being a positive role model to the Geneva community and will promote the values of good citizenship. A story on the pledge was in the Oct. 31 Finger Lakes Times.
