The one-man play “I Am My Own Wife” tells the true-life story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a German transvestite who lived through the Nazi and Communist regimes and survived to share her account. Written by Doug Wright and directed by Wendy Dann, “I Am My Own Wife” premieres at the Hangar Theatre June 22 and runs through July 2.
