Kevin Dunn, assistant professor of political science, recently presented a paper at the African Studies Association conference in Boston, Mass. The paper was titled “Raging Against the Machine? Towards an Understanding of the Lord's Resistance Army of Uganda.”
Alan Frishman, professor of economics, chaired a panel titled “Contemporary Issues in Northern Nigeria” at this meeting. His paper “The Changing Socio-economic Prospects for Youth in Kano from 1960 to 2000” was very well received.
Gebru Tareke, professor of history, also attended this conference and presented a paper.
